Thomas De Gendt won't start stage 8 of the Critérium du Dauphiné because of an inflammation in his right wrist.

Alberto Contador got a 20-second penalty yesterday because of irregular feeding in the last twenty kilometers. His team-mate André Cardoso collected the food for him from the team car and was equally penalized. Therefore, Romain Bardet moved up to sixth place on GC.
